There were at least two more events but the Pre-K kids decided that snacks and juice on a hot day were a better idea so they skipped the water balloon toss and sack race. Oh well there is always next year and the kids certainly didn't mind.

Pre-K Graduation Program

St. B's pre-k class put on a short end of the year program today and afterward received their graduation certificates. The theme of the program was for all the kids to tell us a little something about one of the countries they studied. Ellary and her partner took care of the China portion while others told us about Africa, Australia, Bolivia, Egypt, Ireland, Mexico and Spain.

Our girl was first up and did a great job.

The Race for Education is on

Today was the big day at St. B's for the Race for Education and cookout. Ellary and her classmates took to the baseball field to get in as many laps as possible. Once completed the kids were rewarded with lunch outside on a beautiful Spring day in Colorado.

BTW...Ellary did 13 laps thanks to the fancy new sneakers on her feet and yes she swears they make her faster. Thank you to all of you who donated money in support of Ellary and her school.

While in Wichita a couple weeks ago Ellary had a sleepover with Grandma Ranney and Papo. That evening the hats came out, the artist grabbed her camera and Ellary was happy to ham it up for the pics below.

The aliens have landed

Piper's squirrel count rose to four this afternoon...

Below is photo evidence of Piper's fourth confirmed squirrel capture. As best we can tell she snatches them off the top of our fence as they run the gauntlet...doing their best to antagonize her. This incident was the talk of the backyard, amongst all the squirrels, as they were chattering to beat the band for quite some time, even after I removed their brethren from her jaws.

NEW Swing Set

On Thursday evening we unveiled Ellary's new backyard apparatus and the initial user test shows the builder did a good job.

Today we had some great sunshine and here is the finished product.

Biker Girl

We spent the last two nights practicing and now she is rolling, with helper alongside for now. All it took to get Ellary to practice without her training wheels was the potential prize at the end. When our girl puts her mind to something she figures it out very quickly...guess she really wants that toy cash register with scanner and credit card slot.
