Funny Ellary quote...

After her first bite of homemade chocolate ice cream Ellary commented "This ice cream isn't very good dad, too chocolaty."

These are words I never thought I my daughter would say. Oh by the way she did finish the entire bowl.

Ellary and her "pole bike"

The long awaited (in Ella's opinion) test ride of her trail-a-bike took place this weekend. Thanks to some homemade blocks on the pedals she fits the contraption that she calls a "pole bike" and what a fun ride it was. Many hoots, hollers and wahoos could be heard throughout the neighborhood. Will be hard-pressed to get her back in the bike trailer now.

Flint Hills Bike Classic...2009 edition

My brother-in-law and I shoved off from Manhattan, Ks the morning of June 4th and headed for Wichita. Thanks to the good company, perfect weather and lack of mechanical issues we look back fondly on the 163 miles traveled in three days. What a blast. Discussions around a 2nd edition trip for later this year have already begun.
