Two girls and their Buddha boards

Grandma and Papo came for a visit and guess who couldn't resist purchasing a Buddha Board in the gift shop at China school just like Ellary's? Who better for the little girl to practice alongside than Grandma Ranney. We also took a trip so Mom could see the Botanical Gardens for new subject matter. The weather was almost as good as the gardens this time around.

Grandma also added a couple pieces to Ellary's whiteboard much to her surprise.

It is always great when the folks visit from Wichita

Also, Ellary decided she needed to photograph Maggie from close range. Not sure the 17 yr old girl appreciated it but what can you do when a four year old gets a camera in her hands?

Dinner by the fire

Yummy dinner by the fire is always good but WAY better with roasted marshmallows and S'mores for dessert...in this case they were almost as good as the grilled eggplant prepared by Lori as usual. She really has become an excellent cook over the years. Yeah for Ellary and me because we always eat good. Thanks Mom!!!

Gotcha Day Fun

On September 13th we celebrated the fourth anniversary of Ellary's Gotcha day. My how time flies, even in our small family, and especially while trying to find our way out of a corn maze. Once we found our way home we celebrated with a Gotcha Day dinner with the Niemann's. There is nothing wrong with beef stir fry, homemade fried rice and dumplings for dinne. Mmm good.

Which way do we go?

I bet Mom can't find me...
